Open Practice Ascent Update 1
We are pleased to release the Open Practice ASCENT - February 2007 Update.
As a result of direct client feedback, we have taken this opportunity to incorporate program updates in this release which alleviate the need to run additional SQL Scripts to amend OP_VIEW user permissions (for users who are not currently operating SQL 2005).
In accordance with the Jan 2007 Release, this Update provides a full cumulative release of ALL ASCENT (Version 5.1) Updates – this means that any firm who is using ASCENT or 5.1 (irrespective of what Service Pack) can ensure full up-to-date functionality by applying 1 simple update.
Please ensure that you download and read ALL prior Client Advisories if your firm has fallen behind in applying recent Updates.
Please refer to the detailed Ascent Update - Feb 2007 Client Advisory for a comprehensive list of all Updates in this release including:
- Open Practice Database DLL > Re-implemented OP_VIEW's rights for legacy Third Party applications (also applied to Database Extensions Maintenance).
- Re-Calculate Accounting Balances > Corrected to ensure the successful update of Archived Matter Balances for Investments/Controlled Monies.
- Open Practice Communications DLL > Modified to correctly assign a task created for another user (when operating Exchange Integration).
- Open Practice Documents DLL > Modified to set to unanswered correctly for multiple choice Hotdocs answers.
