Open Practice Ascent / Arrow Update
The Open Practice Ascent/Arrow February 2008 Update is now available.
Customers should be aware that a new OP Registration Code needs to be obtained via the National Customer Centre on the day or 1 business day prior to the planned upgrade.
This release delivers new functionality and important Trust Compliance developments including:
- The Ability to Mark Up Disbursements:
This new function provides a tool to allow a percentage mark-up of disbursements via dissection code. In turn this will allow the firm to enforce greater control regarding the billing of all disbursements (including OP Searching disbursements). This function can only be enabled via a new System Setting.
- Trust Compliance Enhancements:
These continue to ensure 100% and up to date compliance with the latest Trust Legislation. They will also eliminate the need for introducing manual processes to accurately manage new requirements in the following areas:

- Client Regulated Funds
- New rules for Transfers of Trust to Debtors
- Disputed Invoices
- Register of Power of Attorney & Estates
In accordance with all new Releases, this Update provides a full cumulative release of all Ascent / Arrow Updates ensuring your database has full up-to-date functionality.
